Digital Cultures and Capabilities
Introduction
Welcome to my Digital Cultures and Capabilities Blog! The purpose of this reflective journal is to shed light onto the different viewpoints that shroud the question ‘Are Digital natives myth or reality?’. Within my piece, I touch on the opposing opinions, whilst giving insight into my own evaluative contemplation.
I have my own understanding of the ‘Digital native’, as I am one. I use this to my advantage within the piece to reflect on my own personal experiences with technology and bring it into my understandings.
The Blog format is ideal for discussing heavy weighted concepts such as these as it allows for suggestion and critical analysis of my work, by my peers and myself. I will soon be a beginning teacher and this has deemed to be a useful tool in rationalising my own thoughts. I acknowledge all work is my own, except where appropriately referenced.

Topic: Are Digital Natives a Myth or Reality?
Zara,
Your article showed a great understanding of the topic. The use of rhetorical questioning in your argument proved to be incredibly useful to retain the evaluative and questioning nature of the assessment.
Within your argument you utilised direct quotations, some of them were improperly referenced within the APA 7th formatting. I also noticed that often the grammar of your assessment was incorrect. This was seen mostly through your use of quotation marks, specifically when you wrote, “The myths of the digital native and the multitasker”. As this is a title for a paper, quotation marks are not needed. This seemed to be a common theme throughout much of your paper. Although you have integrated a great evaluation and description, in accordance with Gibbs reflective cycle, your action plan seems to be missing.
I suggest you review your punctuation, better grasp the APA 7th referencing guide, and when you edit your work, check the marking rubric and your tutorial work when writing your action plan.

Rochelle,
I found that you often derail from your point in the argument, describing the topic unnecessarily in such a limited word count. I also noticed you had a slightly weak evaluation, and needed a clearer action plan, as per Gibbs reflective cycle. Your argument lacked sufficient sources to support your writing, and when you did source information, it was not referenced correctly according to the APA 7th guide.
I enjoyed your introduction, it was well versed and had a clear opinion within it. The writing of your reflection had a great syntax and flow when you discussed your topic.
I suggest you find credible peer-reviewed sources to support each point you make, and perhaps refer to the academic skills unit to reinforce your understanding of APA 7th referencing. You might find use in reviewing the academic skills unit to further your reflective writing skills, particularly when discussing and critically analysing a topic.
